The Eurocopter EC135.
Advances in materials technology have seen the introduction of new fibre composites to engineer one of the most robust and lightweight helicopters manufactured in its class.
The EC, Depending on its role, can accommodate 7 passengers or a complete emergency medivac "Kit out".
Access to the EC comes via two clamshell doors at the rear as well as two sliding rear cabin doors; this ensures that the loading or unloading of cargo is swift and efficient . Another characteristic brought through into the design is the "Fenestron Fan" which improves saftey for both the ground crew and pilots.
Being one of the most economical and low maintenance machines, the EC plays out many roles and lends itself to fleet purchase. ADAC Air Rescue service has had the EC in operation since the begginning of 1997.
